Promoting Youth Employment

Youth unemployment is a critical issue in Uganda, with many young people struggling to find meaningful employment despite high literacy rates. RDP Uganda is committed to addressing this challenge by creating pathways to employment and entrepreneurship. We work with various stakeholders, including government agencies, private sector partners, and educational institutions, to develop and implement job creation initiatives tailored to the needs of young people.

Skills Development and Training

We provide comprehensive skills development programs to prepare youth for the job market and entrepreneurial ventures. Our training covers a wide range of areas, including vocational skills, financial literacy, business management, and ICT. By equipping young people with practical skills and knowledge, we enable them to pursue diverse economic opportunities and achieve sustainable livelihoods.

Supporting Youth-Led Enterprises

Entrepreneurship is a powerful tool for economic empowerment. RDP Uganda supports youth-led enterprises by offering business development services, access to finance, and mentorship. We help young entrepreneurs turn their ideas into viable businesses, fostering innovation and economic growth within their communities. Our focus is on creating a supportive ecosystem where youth-led businesses can thrive.

Advocacy for Youth-Friendly Policies

We advocate for policies that create an enabling environment for youth economic empowerment. This includes promoting access to finance, technologies, and markets, as well as ensuring that government programs are responsive to the needs of young people. Our advocacy efforts aim to influence policy at both local and national levels, ensuring that youth have the support they need to succeed economically.
