Executive Director
Bbiira Kiwanuka Nassa has served as the Executive Director of Recreation for Development and Peace Uganda (RDP Uganda) since 2020. In this role, he mentors young leaders, inspiring professionals to provide value-based service. Bbiira is a passionate advocate for social and political accountability and has transformed pan-Africanism by building young leaders who focus on solutions for Africa’s development challenges.
Before RDP Uganda, Bbiira served as the Executive Director for the Mid-Western Region Anti-Corruption Coalition (MIRAC). His professional background is deeply rooted in social accountability, mobilizing citizens, organizing advocacy campaigns, and developing initiatives for meaningful community engagement. Over the last 16 years, Bbiira has been involved in civic engagement, empowering communities, and building advocacy at the local, national, and regional levels.
His areas of expertise include organizational development, capacity building, business and human rights, stakeholder engagement, anti-corruption crusading, and citizens’ mobilization. He has contributed to 56 research publications and authored 19 governance-focused articles in the press. Additionally, Bbiira is a human rights defender, specializing in environmental, land, and civil rights issues, as well as Farmer Managed Natural Regeneration.
Bbiira holds a Master’s in Public Administration, a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration, and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies in Education. He is also an alumnus of the Youth Leadership Academy and the International Visitor Leadership Program (USA).
